What the Clean Canada Act calls for

Replacing failed drug policy with real treatment and accountability: treatment, not enablement, and safer communities. The Clean Canada Act also calls for a treatment facility in every province, each capable of housing 2,000 patients.

Section 1: Mandatory rehab sentences for possession of Schedule I substances

The goal is to get people treatment instead of a criminal record, reduce public drug use and overdoses, and make our communities safe again.

Why we are pushing for it

An average of 17 to 20 Canadians die every day from opioid overdoses, and more than 80% of opioid deaths involve fentanyl. We have held peaceful protests, sent an open letter to the City of Windsor, and gathered signatures to ask decision-makers to act.
